 Hardin County Housing Authority
Where the Hills and the River Meet
​The Hardin County Housing Authority provides public housing in scenic Hardin County, Illinois. Sites include: Rosiclare, Elizabethtown, and Cave In Rock, Illinois. The Housing Authority manages 147 apartments for low-income families and individuals. Rosiclare Riverside Campground | Riverwalk  | Boat Docking Facility
If you would like to spend a peaceful, serene few days fishing, boating or just relaxing on the beautiful Ohio River, Mike and Tena Burton, campground hosts, invite you to visit soon. Located in the Rosiclare City Park, there are 12 campsites provided with water and electricity (50 and 30 amp service), firewood and a dump station. Exciting News...we now have Wi-Fi at our campsites!!

For only $21 a night, you can wake up to a beautiful sunrise and in the evening watch the moon cast its beam over the river. We have boat docking facilities, a children’s playground and you are within walking distance of everything you need. If you would like to take a leisurely drive, you can visit Garden of the Gods, Cave-in-Rock State Park, or take the ferry to Kentucky Amish country.
Our rates are also discounted if you stay over 7 days...the normal rate of $21 a night drops to $18 a night, but only if you stay 7 nights or longer.

Rosiclare City Park is adjacent to the campground and has a river walk, playgrounds, and pavilions for picnicking available to all.  On the opposite side of the park below the campground are boat docking facilities available to everyone.  

Rides Mass Transit District
Rides Mass Transit District is a federally funded PUBLIC transportation system.  Service is available to ANYONE needing transportation.  Rides provides door to door and established route service.  The fleet consists of left-equipped and ramped vehicles making the system fully accessible.  

In addition to our local residential and in district scheduled route services, Rides schedules out of district trips to enable passenger access to major medical facilities, shopping centers, employment sites and educational centers throughout Illinois, and in our neighboring states of Indiana, Kentucky and Missouri.
